Default Are bristle worms white.

Every brislte worm pic I have seen they were Brown. I have this worm like thing poking out of a rock. It is white not sure if it is a Bristle worm or not. I can't get a good pic I don't have a good enough digital camera.

There are so many types of bristle worm in every color there is. i have them all around the rocks in my tank. they are no big deal. if you really hate them get a six line wrasse or arrow crab. i have both in my tank and that got them mostly out of my tank.

I think it is cool finding ne and interesting things in the tank. I am new to this and tring to learn as much as I can with a small tank before I go to the 55 gallon. I plan on getting a Arrow crab soon. I was just looking at where that worm is coming from and it appears that there is more than one in the hole is that possible. Do they hang out in groups or is that something odd. Or could it be something else. They are not just sticking to the rocks. They are kind of half in the hole and half floating in the water.

ya, you will often find things like that. one day you might not be able to find any the next you might find 20... a lot of them work as a clean up crew and it can work nice to keep your water nice and clean. with all the crabs, clowns, wrasse in my tank i do not find them out in the open as much but it is sometimes nice to see something you have never seen before.

they seem to make a pretty good diet for my fish and live stalk...

The arrow crab is a good choice. i thought it was kind of weird and fragile at first. but even so, they grow legs back in a matter of months, and grow very fast. he walks around the tank and cleans the corals and rocks 24/7 non stop and has doubled in size in the first couple months I had it. very fun to watch. and the purple claws are kind of fun.

so what i'm trying to say with this overly long message is that you should not worry about it, just keep an eye out and enjoy the odd little worms. (or something)

If they don't bother anything don't worry about the worms. I've got lots of grey ones, plus lots of other cool little creatures...tons of little star fish....etc...can't imagine all the stuff that is too small to see...probably more amazing.
