Default New Growth Unknown

The transparent white objects in the center of the picture on the rock.
I have no idea what it is. I do have what appears to be pink sponge that is on the underside of some of my liverock that has been there for several months.
Thanks for assisting in IDing this.

Google tunicate and see what you come up with. Just a thought.

I looked it up and sure enough it appears that you are correct!
Thanks!

Here is another photo showing even more of them. Are they difficult to care for?

No they are not difficult. Interesting to read about though. They look like nothing but from what I have read they are an amazing complex organism.

Thanks Jim! Even though they don't look like much I like the idea that they are just one more cool living organism in my little reef world!

That is so coooooool! I have wanted tunicates since I read about them in a book a while back- I want the candy cane striped one- tunicates are supposed to be excellent in filtering your water! Congrats on a 'not so common' addition to your tank!

I have a couple tunicates in my tank. They are neat to watch. I have heard that they are toxic when they die, though.
