 crab trapping Any ideas on how to catch a hitchhiking crab? i noticed one in a crevice of a piece of live rock the other day. he is black and has hairy legs, so i seriously doubt he is reef safe. he never seems to come far enough out of the rock to catch him with a net, so i was wondering if anyone had a better method?  |

| Re: crab trapping small plastic soda bottle. Top 1/4 of bottle cut off and inverted into the bottle. Toss a piece of meat in there for bait. Put it near the rock you seen him at and see if he is sitting in there in the morning.

| Re: crab trapping gave it a try last night. no sign of it in the morning, and the piece of shrimp was still in the bottle. i havent see him in a few days, not sure if he is still in that piece of rock or not... |
