Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out!

Looks like aiptasia. You will want to get rid of them before too long!

It looks like a pest anemone to me. One way to confirm this is by touching it with something. If it pull back fully into the rock, it's a pest so you'd want to get rid of it.

i was thinking this also but the rock is from an established tank with all kinds of polyps and mushrooms.

Aiptasia are not a big deal..."whoop it" and don't look back. You'll probably have one pop up here and there, no worry!

Looks more like majano than aiptasia to me. Still a pest but more dangerous.

Have to agree with Mike, looks like a manjano anemone to me. They spread and sting everything. Zap it!!

I have something like this but it only comes out of its hole after the lights go off. It has a long stem on it as well. Still think it's a bad thing?
