Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out!

Default Purple film on rock...Please help

I can't stop it from coming back. I have a purple film all over my live rock. What is it? Is this a bad thing? What can I do to stop this from coming back. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks

Im no export but I beleive its called corraline algae, and it is beneficial to your aquarium and its macro algae

If it rubs off easily it sound like cynobacteria, so check your nitrates and phospates.

see if it blows off with a turkey baster if so its bad algae if its hard purple then its probally coraline that is good.
