Identification What in the heck is growing on my glass, corals, etc. Not sure what it is? Post here and we'll see if we can figure it out!

Default New Critter

I found a new critter in my tank and would like some help identifying it.

It is about 2 inches long, green, has a tail like a shrimp, two eyes on stalks above his head that move independently and front arms that look like a praying mantis. He has been hiding in the lr and runs into cracks everytime I get close with the camera. He blends in very well with the green money plant.

You my friend have a mantis shrimp. Cool shrimp, but are horrible to have in your tank . Have been known to cut fish in half, Kill snails/hermits, and even break aquarium glass. Here is a link on identification and common ways to get rid of them:
