Default hello

new to the forum, and thought i'd make a formal introduction.

my name is Doug. i work in the concrete construction field mostly, and i just happen to like reef keeping.

at present, i have a 195 gallon, in-wall display, which is approximately 300 gallons total volume. it's an odd size- 60x30x 25 high. starphire on the front pane, and drilled for a closed loop.

lighting consists of 2 x 250 watt hamilton 14k halides(right and left) and one 400 watt ushio 14k in the center, along with 4 x 54 watt t-5 actinics.

the return is a mag24, and the closed loop consists of an oceans motions 4 way, with a sequence reeflo dart.
also, in the tank are 2 koralia 4's.

i use a large refugium, live rock, and an ASM G4X for filtration

it's mostly sps and lps, with a few ricordea and zoos/palys scattered around.

i also have a 30 breeder(60 gallons TV) as a frag/grow out system.

here are a couple pics. some are recent, and some are when i was setting up.

display-

sump(125 gallon perfecto) plus early pic of frag tank

frag/ grow out setup(nova extreme pro, and mag 7 with euro-reef skimmer)-

i like the nova extreme pro. it was too powerful for my 12" deep breeder though(lps was bleaching), so i replaced all but 1 daylight bulb with UVL 75/25's and that corrected the problem.

lol...thanks pyro.

i think the extreme pro is too powerful for a 12" deep tank, but i haven't tried it on a deeper tank.
i have a lot of LPS in the frag tank as well, and they don't like too much light.
i have sps on the upper shelf(about 2" under water) and they seem to be doing well.
