Icon12 A little about another newbie:

My names Mike, I've been keeping 1-4 tanks for the last 3 years. as my highlights: I had a 20G fresh, with several red crabs and a bicher, it was only half full of water and had a water fall and a land area taking up a 1/4 of the tank. I had a 29g fresh with glass fish silver dollars etc. I sold those fish in favor of a moray eel.

I started adding some salt to the water.....and THATS how it ALL BEGAN..... I searched for compatible fish and came across mono sabeas, I added some of those. 2 immediatly became food. I found Green spotted puffers. I learned they would only survive till adulthood if they were put in salt water. I bought a hygrometer. I went on a SCUBA excursion with my dad to Grand Cayman, upon return my dad set up a 40G hex reef tank with several LPS and softies (its evolved to include some sps).

I moved out from my parents and bought a 75G to put my fish in. I built my own stand. Well after about 6 months I got tired of the lack of algae eaters compatible with GSP in a brackish setup.

I bought a 25G as a refugium and started the acclimation to SG 0.024. I got rid of the moray because he was way to aggressive. I still have one surviving mono and hes about 5" tall now. I have a few feather dusters and either a sea rod or an apo gorg. I also have some cynularia and some zoo's.

I bought 1(ONE) peice of live rock about 4 months ago. Within the last 3 weeks the corraline algae on my non live rock has gone from 0(ZERO) to about 10% coverage. I have a 32W standard Flurecent bulb. My next purchase will be a TurboFlotor 1000, then a Wave2k, then MH once I move to an apartment with A/C that works well. LOL

I still have a 10g goldfish tank to keep my GF busy

Oh and drag racing is my passion. I havent raced for 3 months because I blew up my tranny(In my daily driver). So ALL my hobbies are on hold til the sleeper is off jack stands.

The only tank I have now is my 75G, and it's nothing special, I don't have the water flow or water purity for corals yet. Everything I have is hand-me-downs/frags/cuttings

I race a cavalier with a cobalt motor, tuning program, full intake/header/exhuast, and (now) a fully built transmission, and custom interior. I should be running 14.9 or so when I get it off the jack stands.
