Default hello all!

ok im the new kid on the block. im new to marine tanks and new to the site.

my name is matt, i live in central mass. i am in the environmental field (ie: safely dispsing of toxic and other hazardous waste)

ive had fresh water tanks since i was a little kid. had huge luck with them. then my 110 gallon of almost tenyears (with three 4 year old needle nose gars, two 5 year old lima shoval noses, and 4 5 year old monos crashed i used the opertunity to hit the marine field. (so glad i did).

so now i have a 55 gallon that i have had running for almost six months. i let it run with just sand and live rock for about a month and a half before adding anything. since then ive added button polyps, some sort of green zoo polyp, an elegance coral, and a very nice xenia coral. the fish are two mated clowns and one bangai cardinal (i know i know, they like three or more, but this one is different, ive baught several groups to try and mate them, and he ends up trying to kill them all, so i bring them back andget more and the same thing. i think hes gonna end up going back to the store and ill start with another group of 3.) ok back on track, i have two emerald crabs, one arrow crab (had aslight problem with bristle worms ( darn rock) ) one turbo snail, six hermits and three other smaller snails (names leave me at the second).

lighting is 4 coral life 65 watt (260 all together) 24 inch light systems. i went with the bare minimum as when i move in a week i am going to start up the 125 gallon and would rather sink the money into that puppys lighting.

filter (slapps own hand lol) is a 60 gallon piggy back filter, yes i know shame on me but wheni go to the 125 the 55 is going to become my filter hehehe.

and that is about it. ill put some pics up later (as the lights are currently off right now) and i look forward to being an active member here. thanky much..

Welcome to RB Matt! Try to remember to take pics of the 125 and post them periodically so we can see the progress.
