Welcome to the reef Hayden! Great to have you join us. Any questions you may have about tanks, fish, corals, inverts, lights, equipment etc. can be quickly answered in the correct forum location. Sounds like you have a nice 125 thats ready to be cycled?? We love pictures here as you will soon come to find out. Post some up if you get a chance. And again, welcome to ReefBuilders.com, in my opinion the best fish community there is online.

Tony

The tanks not up an running yet. Basement flooded and plans for the tank got pushed back. It will be up soon enough though. Here is a pic of the empty tank.(If this works lol)

The tank was just setting on the floor and I was testing the lights to make sure I didnt need to buy more. I hope to have the tank up by the end of the summer if the basement remodel goes as planned.

That picture is perfect, reason..: Everyone on here enjoys seeing tanks from start to finish, beginning with an empty tank shot. Then we can start picturing what that empty tank will look like in a year or two. What kind of lights are those? T5 Retrofits? CF/PC's?? Sorry to hear about your basement flooding. A member on heres apartment flooded a few months ago, but her tank was up and running for like 2 years so she lost all her stock.....and most of her money invested. Keep those pictures coming when you can Hayden, your starting to get more views on this thread. Good thing. Talk to you later, and good luck with the basement!

Oops forgot to answer these questions! The lights are 4x65 watt T5 Retrofits that will go in the hood. The middle light is just one I had laying around and added to fill in a little bare spot that I thought needed more light.
Thanks! I wish the flooding never happened and this baby would already be up, but cant stop things from happening...

Yes, we love build threads here, they are probably the most popular of all the postings. For your tanks size and specifications, it would be appropriate to start a new thread in either "Reef Building (step-by-step)" or "Large Reef Tanks" forums. If you plan on keeping a predator tank, then "Fish Only & Aggressive Tanks" would be the best forum to start a new build thread in.

Yea I could tell they were retro's by the slimpaq ballasts. Thats a good idea you have with the spare T5, it does give the light a nice evenly dispersed look. And I know what you mean when you say you can't stop it from happening, they only way is to stay strong and get through it. My condolences to you.
