| Welcome to RB Garrett! Feel free to post information about your local reef club. The most people know how to get in contact with their local reef keepers, the more everyone in the club benefits. My local club now regularly has over 60 people attend meetings. Not bad for a community of about 80,000.

| We have a LFS that tells everyone, and partly because of that and their involvement with the reef club, they get 90% of the business over the other LFS's. Yes, letting people about a reef club may take away some of his short term business, but having a good local reef club will help to ensure that people get the good advice that they need while starting out so they stay in the hobby. Having good reef club also draws people from outside the area for meetings, which also benefits the stores because those people will often stop by your LFS to see what they have. What I would suggest it asking your LFS if you can place a poster advertising your reef club in their store. This way, they don't need to spend any time doing anything and people can see that there is a local reef club.
