Default tedlietz

Hi,
I currently have a 29 gal marine tank with 3 Green Chromis , 1 Clown, 5 Hermit Crabs, and 3 Snails with 3 rocks
20 years ago I had a 120 gal Marine Tank with fish and anemonies but either every thing has changed or I forgot every thing I knew I am 6 weeks into the Nitrogin cycle.

until later Ted

Welcome to the reef Tedlietz, glad you joined us here on the forums!

Since your 3 weeks into your cycle and already have 4 fish in there, you may be facing problems ahead. Take it slow when starting a new system, and even when getting back into the hobby. Technology has changed drastically over the past decade, along with procedures, remedies and standards so do take heed to the differences. It seems you have some Diatom growth on your glass and rock, this is caused from a newly cycled system that is still going through its parameter spikes. Do weekly water changes and slow down on the stocking to avoid an algae bloom from the insufficient amount of bacteria established.

Just a heads up though, I'm sure you will find most if not all of what your looking for in information here at ReefBuilders, we're here to help.

Thanks for sharing the pic too, my first few fish in this newest tank were also Chromis and Clowns, they have tons of personality for such simple creatures!
