Default New to Saltwater

Hey all, I just recently got into saltwater. For my first setup I got a 46 gallon bowfront with a eheim 2227 filter. I have had my tank up for just little over a month. The LR put in about 2 weeks ago and some interesting creatures came with. I believe I got some of that Aiptasia what would be the best way to rid the tank of it? I also noticed these two little really little white things on the front of my tank. It looks like a really small starfish with like white webbing between the legs. Any ideas to what these would be?? How much longer should i let my tank run before i start adding fish and other creatures?? Thanks ALL

Colby! Welcome to Reef Builders buddy, I'm glad you finally joined us here on the forums!

The two little starfish your talking about could be members of the Asterina Anomal family. Although identifying specific species can get fairly complicated. Most are harmless herbivores, but some can have a craving for Zoanthids and other Polyps. I will help you take care of those pesky Aiptasia as well, I think I have a syringe.

Did they look anything like whats in these 2 pictures?:

It looks more like the bottom one but the legs are more brownish. And allright you got a syringe nice nice. Yea cus one of them Aipitasia is getting pretty big. It actually grew from when i woke up to just right now when I checked on the tank on break at work. We should get these pesky things tomorrow sometime.
