hi all i'm about to get a set up 75 gallon tank it had corals in it the man who has the tank now says they all just died is there anything i should do to the water before i put more corals in ?

Hey Jim, welcome to the reef! I would try and find the cause of death to the coral before filling up and trying to stock again. Some disease can live for extended amounts of time in/on LS, LR, water and even equipment. If the original owner does not know the reasoning behind the crash, I highly recommend replacing everything biological. In the LR case, dry out the rock then re-cycle it and add once again. And you're better off just purchasing new LS than trying to clean it out. Cycle the tank for at least 6 weeks since everything is starting all over once again.

I agree with what Tony says, you don't want to take a chance that what ever caused the problem is still there.
