Beeker325 is looking at reefs
Hello from high altitude

Hello all, I am in land-locked Denver CO. Love the serenity of the aquarium and would like to make an attempt to set up the equipment that I have from about 9 years ago. I am a serial Do-it-yourselfer and believe that the build will be as fun as enjoyment that my kids will get watching the after effects.
Currently I have a 180 gallon acrylic tank that measures 2' x 2' x 6' long and I have built a space in my crawl space to have the tank sit in and just the front face shows into the bar area of my basement. I seem to take on big projects and this should be nothing different. I have many pumps and misc. parts that I am unsure about the current "best way" to make a reef, live coral and livestock work with the equipment that I have. I would like to make a work in progress pics as I go so if I fall behind someone keep on me to post new pics. Right now I know enough to be dangerous on the keeping fish alive but plenty on the subject of mechanics and lighting. ( I own a high end home theater and custom home automation company. So if anyone needs some home toys let me know) Looking forward to getting and giving advice on this renewed hobby. I appreciate the ability to have a place to meet others in the hobby and have a thought that may not be financally biased. Thank you.

Welcome to RB Beeker.

A 180 gallon tank is awesome, looking forward to seeing it setup!

Start a new thread from day one when you decide to build it! So we can see your description and pictures a long the way
