Default Saltwater Newbie

Hi all, been a lurker here for awhile. Just now getting around to posting. I am currently setting up a 30 gal. with a 10 gal sump. I know it's kinda small for a sump but the tank was drilled and came with the sump for a really good price. I have a stand and canopy that I have had to do some tweaking to make work but looks ok for me. I have 40lbs of UNCURED live Hatian rock on the way. I have already put water and sand in the tank just to kind of get the hang of everything. Also the powerhead was hooked up tonight. I was thinking for some reason that I could just cure the LR in the tank but was told that it prob. wasn't the best idea. What I am shooting for is a reef tank with a few fish. More on the coral and other stuff side of things. This is turning into a money pit awefully fast but I think that since I have taken around 2 months to purchace everything and try and do it all the right way (hopefully) that things are going to be good. Anyway, I have started taking pix from the moment before water up to now. I will post them when there is more stuff in the tank besides sand and water. Thanks for having me and any advice would be much appreciated!- Clay
