Default live rock question

Hello new to all this just got a 90 gal Saltwater tank about 6 weeks ago love it! But have a question, Maybe somebody can help. Why are some of my peices of Live rock turning white? That seems to be the only thing right now i cant figure out..Just did a water change to.

perhaps there is too much salt. calcium build up?

i had the same problem, heard all kinds of possible reasons, so I just have been keeping calcium,magnesium,stronti um levels up and two months later i am just starting to get the color back in the pieces that lost it, which by the way was only the tonga i bought. good luck!

yeah i had the same problem and since im just starting out too i though it was bad but nothing seems wrong with my clowns. the color is coming back to the rock too im glad because it was a nice redish purple alge on it.
