Default VHO lighting & Blue tang

I just purchased a 125G Tank, it came with 4x72' VHO ( 2X160w VHO aqua sun and 2X 160watt super Antic Blue). Well at present only one bulb is working I'm ready to purchase anew set of 4, but need advice as to which would be best. my choices are 4x 110watt 50/50 actinic white, or just stick with 2x 160w aqua sun and 2 x 160w super actinic. I will be going reef in about 3 months but nned to know about my lighting requirements before i start purchasing the live stock.

Secondly, i have had my hippo blue tang for about 4 months he is still small about 2 inches. He was so beautiful when he first came but now has lost alot of his color (for about a month) and he seemed to be scrapping his skin against the dead coral he used to live in. He's face and half he's body have no color. He is healthy and plays and eats alot. In the new aquarium he seems even happier. But how do i help him get his color back if its possible.I attached a pic

This seems to be the problem, I will start with its diet. I have only been feeding the fish with flakes and brine shrimp, any other suggestions. I heard sea weed is good. Thanks again.

Starting feeding them fish good !!

mysis, krill, clam, squid, prime reef flake, formula 1&2 flakes, green nori seaweed on a clip DAILY, try to soak foods in garlic/zoecon to boost the immune system..

Usually once a fish gets MHLLE, its pretty much non reverseable if its really bad...

The fish will live, it just looks horrible...

not to pick on you but this is a good example of why not to buy certain fish before doing research, we preach to alot of people that blue hippos are one of the more harder tangs to take care of, this is a prime example of that besides them being very ich prone..

I hope things turn around for ya, we're here to help...
