The first picture is of my false percs (13 years old) with there newly laid eggs (about 2,000). The tank is up and running 12 years. It's really becoming overgrown with hair algae because of the dense feeding of the babies.(over a thousand false percs and a few hundred mandarins) I will be posting pics of the mandarin babies soon! The second pic is of my true black percs 3 years old. That tank has been going 2 years. The third pic is my 12G Nano and the fourth pic are mostly my misbarred babies. You're supposed to cull them mercilously but hey, no one has culled me yet and I'm not perfect. Most of my three stripe babies have gone to the lfs and some wholesalers. If anyone would like some misbarred babies, let me know!

I don't know how old the oldest captive bred clown fish is, but I've heard that they can live for decades.

Hey Bob, awesome clowns!

Since you are very knowledgeable on these fish, would you take a look at this one in the pic and tell me what you think is wrong with it? It's in QT, got them last Saturday night, won't eat, acts weak and they were brought in a large back with their host anemone in with them... injury or brooklynella, or neither?...

Smaller dark spots near gills (top fish)

Thanks!

I took these videos today. These are my mandarins just before they released their eggs and the other video is some kind of Steven King lookin worm thing evicted by my black percs. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Sorry about the poor cinematography!

Cool pictures, everyone! I'm getting #45 more pounds of rock, and a couple of 850 koralia powerheads, as soon as they arrive, and I 'kind of set it up', I'll post my pictures. I really LOVE the pictures!

FWIW, I had a "ping pong game" goldfish live for 11 years.

Gross??? It's amazing to watch. After the eggs are released , the mandarins dart to different sides of the tank and you don't see them for the rest of the night. Almost like they're embarassed or something. Anyway they are in my 90G breeding tank along with my oscellaris and a few other species. My oscellaris laid eggs this afternoon but not as many as usual. About 1,500 as opposed to 2,000. Maybe they're getting tired.
P.S. I like your avatar Angela.

lol, i had to think about what i had said eww gross to. yea that worm was creepy! like something you would expect your vet to proudly show you what they got out of your dog... vets arnt normal.

I knew i would love mandarins more and more! Tehe, embarrassed, i would be embarrassed too if there was someone watching intently with a video camera and $ glowing in his eyes.
and thanks! ive been waiting for weeks for this avatar!
