WELL I JUST GOT INTO SALTWATER. i HAD BEEN REAL DEEP INTO FRESHWATER ABOUT 4 YEARS,(IM 17) AND DECIDED I SHOULD TAKE A STEP UP. iTS BEEN ABOUT A 2 WEEKS, NOT TO BAD. nONE OF mY FISH HAVE GONE BELLY UP.

I HAVE A 40 GAL CURVED TANK WITH FLUVA 304, A rED sEA pRIZM HANG ON sKIMMER,pENGUIN pOWERhEAD AND T5 Lighting (HO) Light STRIP.

aS FOR LIVE STOCK i ONLY HAVE ABOUT 15 POUNDS OF LIVE ROCK AND 40 LBS OF LIVE SAND.

iTS BEEN UP FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS IN ALL WITH FISH!! cYLED? pROBLY nOT. tHE fISH AND WATER LEVELS SEEM TO BE DOING FINE. AMONNIA,NITRATE & NITRITE ARE LOW. i THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE LOWER, AFTER ALL I GOT 6 FISH AND ACONDYLACTIS ANEMONE (CARIBBEAN). HAHA

I have been into saltwater for 6 months. Started with a 12 gallon nano two months after that my family got a 55 gallon and put me in charge so, I have some experience but it feels like I have been into saltwater forever because of studying saltwater for 4-5 months before I got into it.

Being on RB has helped tremendously, I owe allot of credit to the people hear on RB they have taught me allot more then I thought I would ever learn, great times.

I am going to try to get some new corals today taking a trip to my lfs (local fish store)

Im doing good!! well better than i thought!! I lost one clown fish but im still going!! Yeah I wanted to try coral but i got a anenome instaed!!

Hi, i think you me and ace are all about the same age, its good to have some young people here also. (not that the others are old)

first off, welcome to RB.

I dont think you shoud get anyhting else for your tank right now.

you should slow down a bit.

you need to look up what cycleing is.

Do you have a protein skimmer? if not how often do you do a water change?

what do you feed your fish and how often?

e_BAER tHANKZ FOR THE ADDIVCE AND tHE WELCOME!! i KNOW wHAT cYCLING mEANS AND I dO HAVE A PROTIEN SKIMMER. i HAVNT CHANGED MY WATER BUT IM GOING TO START AT 10 PERCENT EVERY 2 WEEK THEN ONCE IT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED PROPERLY , I WOULD CHANGE M WATER AT A 25 PERCENT RATE EVERY MONTH(DEPENDING ON MY NITRATES AND NITRITE LEVELS)!! i FEED mY FISH FROZEN BLOOD WORMS AND COMMUNITY PELLETS ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE AT NIGHT!!
