does any1 know if 2x 65 watts 1 10k and 1 antic blue and 50/50 bulb for a total of about 150 watts, would be enough for some soft corals or anything? 29 gal about 2 ft tall.

It looks like you are ok at a tiny bit over 5 waqtts per gallon.Keep our water clear and you should be able to keep moderate to low light corals.Moderate in the top 1/2 and low in the bottom.

anyone everyuse the new flourescent twist tubes (screw in) over a reef or a tank at all, they have low watts with high lumen output. i know they work good for lighting on other green thumb projects but I am al ittle bit worried that in a marine tank these lights might make the green algae grow faster, They make green house & garden plants grow fast any thoughts on using these bulbs?

The twist flourescent bulb are genarly 5700K as are most grow lights and not at all acceptable for aquarium use because the lack the blue spectrum that coral needs,but if its a great algea blum you are looking for,you will get it lol.Plus the wattage is way to low to reach the bottom of even the shallowest tank.
