Default best deals on live rock?

Hi everyone!

I am soaking up all I am reading about the reef tanks, I love this site!

I have just set up my 55gal insump tank and am fervently searching for the best live rock for the best price. Since this will be my first live rock purchase, any suggestions on what to look for from dealers, the rock itself, etc. would be much appreciated. Also, I have read/heard that mixing live sand with arg sand is ok and also heard that it is not good to do, which is right?

My top priority now is the rock though, I have 'leftover' rocks (which WERE alive at one point!) already in the tank and using these as my base rocks. I also have all but two powerheads working (1 weak penguin powerhead, 1 awesome maxijet 1200 and a berlin protein skimmer that's good for 25-250 gal. tanks). All I need is the one maxijet 900 for more current and a missing venturi plug for my existing mj 900.

Excited and learning patience,
dinor2.

Thanks!

I am currently waiting on an order from Walt Smith, just 10lbs. My plan is to get most of my rock from online vendors as they're cheaper but add a few smaller local pieces as well to hopefully get more algae and critters.
