Hello everyone, I am new to the hobby and in the process of setting up my first salt water tank (100gal. reef). I want to create a cool aquascape with live rock, I don't just want to "stack them." I have heard of folks using PVC and others using glue? Any thoughts, suggestions for me?

Welcom to RB Steve,
When planning your aquascape be sure to start it on the glass bottom - that will give it stability. If you put it on the sand, burrowing fish can & will undermine it & cause to tumble.
There are a number of things you can use to add strength to an aquascape:
1. epoxy cement but if you want to rearrange things you need to break the bond.
2. Plastic pins - drill the pieces of rock & "pin" it with plastic pins or small diameter pipe.
3. Drill the rock & use plastic cable ties.

I would suggest #2 or #3 on glampa's list. This way if you want to rearrange it, as many do with a new tank you have the ability to do so. If you use glues in is very hard to tear it down and rearrange.
