Default hey guys!

hey guys, new guy here, but not really new to saltwater. I dont have a tank yet but thats because i need to get a little info before i get into somthing i cant handle, thus bringing me to this forum. My questions:

1.- i was looking into getting the 12 gallon cadlight nano. are these good systems to start with?

2.-how much live rock would you suggest for the tank and the filter? (i know 1-2 lbs. per gallon but nanos are special)

3.-what would be a rough monthly cost of food, kalk, water, salt etc. (not livestock)

Thanks guys! glad to be on the forums!

(p.s. my name is not really guillermo, just made it after jimmy kimble lol)

Those would probably be good questions to as over in the "nano tank" forum. As far as item #3 goes, food, kalk, and water cost is generally minimal (pennies per day) in most tanks. The cost of salt depends on how good of a job you do with water changes. A 160 gallon bucket of IO can be gotten for around $40. If you change 20% of the water (2.4 gal) a month, that would only add up to $0.60/month for salt. The costly part is always equipment, electricity (if you have powerful lights or pumps), and the fish and corals.
