 question about my sump tank...please help!! Hello Everyone- I recently purchased a house that came with a really nice aquarium setup. I have to basically start rom scratch as far as getting it going because the last owner took his fish, substrate, and everything else in the tank. I've been doing a lot o research online and I'm getting close to getting the ball going. My main tank is a 75 gallon tank which has a 55 gallon tank below it that is used as a sump tank. My question why is my sump tank divided into 3 sections, one o which is much bigger than the other 2. thanks a lot for the advise  |

| Re: question about my sump tank...please help!! Mike, here is a diagram of a modern reef setup, this should give you some light with what your 3 areas of your sump are for:
