Sounds like fungus. Mine had it. LFS saidto wipe it off and then put Iodine on a q-tip and wipe off the fins. Sounds good but the Copperband Butterfly didnt understand it when I was telling him what I was going to do. So I grabbed 2 big nets scooped him out and into QT. Treated ten days with Maracyn. Cured his popeye also. To end this happy story about 2 months after putting him back into the DT MY CARPET ANEMONE ATE HIM!!!

That fish was 4" LONG!!!
