| What kind of pump it is? Typically noise like that indicated one of many things. Either: 1) The pump is not pushing enough water to keep up with the overflow. 2) The tank needs more water 3) There is a valve that needs to be turned down (I highly doubt there is) 4) the pump needs to be cleaned to allow more flow. I would start off by cleaning the pump. If that doesnt work, try to add a little more water to the tank. And if that doesnt work, I would suggest either a new pump or a ball valve on the drain line.

| Thank you e_baer. The pump seems to work great, and the tank water level also seems to be perfect...? What seems the issue, (and please be patient as this tank set up is very foreign to me), is the overflow just gushes down to the sump? so whatever water level i add to the tank gravity takes over and the water flows heavily down to the sump... And thats the noise I am hearing.. The pump itself is virtually silent, and when i put my hands in front of the heads (4 of them), the water pressure is pretty good and even.. I do like the idea of the ball valve!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats a great idea....... It will control the amount of water flowing from the overflow portion of the tank... ~ciao Randy |

| My megaflow 3 did the same thing. I had to add a inline ball valve and turned it about 1/8 to 1/4 closed. The gravity on the 1" pipe pulls the water down so fast till it pulls air then gurgles. That will fix your problem. Just slow it down enough that it doesn't do it any more. |

You can control water level in the tank and flow to the sump by adjusting the standpipe up or down. |

| How is the level of water in your sump, is it low? What kind of noise are you hearing? Is it like a flushing sound, water dripping... |
