| tnx keith. ive seen the pics you have posted and they look superb. I wanted to go for a cal reactor because my end has sps and other hard corals in the system. just added another 25kgs of lr and its looking good. im hoping to have some pics on by the weekend ...see what you all think so far!!! tnx again mike.. |

| there are a million and one gizzmos that can be added to your tank. some are a help some are just that, gizzmos. and all cost money. for your size tank i would look into at least an r.o. system. water quality is the number one thing over even the elements. all that starts with good water. found that out the hard way, i did. all other things can be monitored and added manually at a minimum cost. just make sure everything is cycled and don't get discouraged when something dies. they will (sometimes for no visible reason), just learn from the experience and build a strong base knowledge. good luck

| tnx for all youre advice so far..i've got an r.o. unit running from the start and all the top up is r.o. so im hoping to avoid the algae bloom's. got a total of 85kgs of lr in now and introduced an algae blennie, green bubble anenome, two cleaner shrimps, fire shrimp and scarlet hawkfish. all are doing fine and dandy!! keeping an eye on all levels and the only change i've had is a larger fluctuation in p.h. from 8.09 in the morning to 8.28 at night. I think this is natural and the buffers are all up to level so im just monitoring it for now..thats it for the moment and tnx again for youre advice.mike. |
