With that size tank I would go with the Koralia fours. They are just a couple bucks more and you'll get maximum flow for that series of PowerHeads. I have them and like them alright.

Marine Depot is a opular site. Usually order from Pet Supplies, Dog Supplies, Cat Supplies, Pet Meds & Pet Products

On the Protein Skimmer...do your research and get the best you can afford rated well-over your size tank! Just keep in mind that it needs to fit under your tank, unless you are plumbing it into an adjacent room.

Shoot, I bought the two 3's. Perhaps I'll a 3rd for now? I'll set it up and see what I need, I also have a Marine C-360 filter, it might be alright. I'm still curing my rocks, and am still not set on equipment. My LFS has a protein skimmer, brand, sorry, don't recall, up to 150 gallons for $140. Do you think that's reasonable? It's in a pink and orange box (I think).

I told my hubby, this is way more expensive than dogs! LOL!

The 3's will work also. I didn't realize that you had already purchased them--my reading comprehension tends to fade around this time. I will defer to someone with more experience on the skimmer. I have a EuroReef RS80, but wish I had bought the next size up. Seem to be working just fine for me and have not heard anything bad about them. Remind me, is your tank drilled?

don't worry about the reading stuff, it's a age thing for me, pushing 29 ..... again...... LOL! No, my tank is not drilled. There's so much to learn, if I need to drill it, eventually, I'll take care of it. But, right now, I'm so new to this, the more I learn, the less I know. I guess it's like my engineering degree, the more I learned, the less I knew. But, I'm willing to add/delete, as necessary. I've been told to add a sump before anything, then, I've been told refugiums are bad, I don't need a filter, don't do a sump, do a filter, do a sump, do a filter, do a refugium. I figure, I'll start, and go from there, as long as I have the basics.

Marine Depot is awesome. Sometimes not always the cheapest. Another really good one is Aquarium Fish: Tropical Freshwater Fish and Saltwater Fish for Home Aquariums they are the same company aquasalt recommended.

Where are the pics?

Thanks for this links Will. I'm bummed today. My LR order was damaged in shipping. So, Pet Solutions is reshipping the order and will be here Wednesday. Oh well, I got my two powerheads, and my protein skimmer. Meanwhile, my other LR's are basking in my tank.

"THE PACKAGE WAS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH THE DETAILS / ALL MERCHANDISE DISCARDED."

I called Pet solutions, and they are sending out a new order. They were sorry (not their fault, and I told them so) and immediately, I received a new order confirmation. I'll get photos as soon as my new rocks arrive. Today, I'm setting up my powerheads, although, I know I'll have to rearrange them. And the protein skimmer. So, I'm in a holding pattern. I've waited 4 years to start this, so, waiting is only a matter of days. Once I decided to jump into tanks, the waiting doesn't seem as bad. Or perhaps I'm just kiddding myself. But, after 4 years, I've read a ton of stuff, and realize, the prep is part of the fun.

It's kind of like a wedding, years to plan, one day of stuff. It's kind of a let down. So, I'm embracing the time constraints and looking at it as a journey. (If I ever start complaining, it's your DUTY to remind me of this post.... )

Sorry about the damaged order. At least they are being really nice about it though and taking care of it right away. I wouldn't get discouraged, we have all run into road bumps in this hobby, and more are on the way I am sure, but keep positive and push through it all and you will do just fine Had my fair share of stuff gone wrong when I first started, but the beauty of it all is you learn from the mistakes.

For sure post some pics when it's all set up.

I just posted a post to you and I delete it accidently. I'm just glad I have an engineering background, there's way more to tanks than just reading about it. Reading is a solid way to decide if you can do tanks, actually buying one, and setting it up, well, that's different. I'm really enjoying this. I'll be sure to take pics, right now, I have the rocks laying on the bottom, just curing, no aquascaping, just curing.

Just an update, my neons are dead, they became food for other fish. Thanks Son in law! (His little brother caught a small perch, and is living in his tank, nummy!)
