If it is Aiptasia, it grows fast, spreads fast, and is a pest in general. There are many ways to take care of this pest. Do a search on the site here and you will find the options.

Aiptasia X, really good product. You can get a bottle on ebay for around $20 delivered. I used it on one right in the middle of a zoa colony without harming the polyps. In fact the polyps around it quit openning up because of it & they all came back after it was killed.

We used to have an aiptasia problem and then we bought a Klien's Butterfly fish. Ever since we got that fish (it's been about 3 months) I have yet to see any more aiptasia. If you can get your hands on this fish, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Before the Butterfly, we tried Joe's Juice (pain in the butt to administer) & peppermint shrimp. Neither one fixed the issue permanently.

I just tried Pickling lime mix it to pasty consistency and apply with a syringe it seemed to work better than anything so far and Ive tried alot. I had a copperband butterfly and it worked great but they dont seem to live long in captivity. When he died it came right back cause any debris the fish leave after eating it they grow right back. In my experience.

No have not tried that yet. I did the pickling lime and that seemed to take care of it mind you this was a pretty extreme case of it. It took three times of using the pickling lime but I think its over for now!! How did the aptaisa x work?

I use Joe's Juice, it really works excellent for killing those pesky things.

However, in essense Joe's Juice is just a really think Kalk mixture. So you could always save yourself some money and make your own.

can you add Joes Juice to the water or do you have to put it on each pest individually?

"NO" you can NOT just add it to the water. With the high concentration it kills indiscrimanitly.

You need to stop your flow and then using a syringe. slowing inject the solution at the Anemone, the stuff is heavier then water so it will just sit there. I usually leave my pumps off for 1 hour and let it sit there. They will begin to die almost immediately upon recieving the solution.

The only chemical product I would recommend is Aptasia-X, it works very well and does not damage things if for some reason it lands on the corals...

I used a copper banded butterfly and it wiped out all the aipstasia in my tank within a week. The only drawback was that it also ate all my feather dusters and feather duster-like critters.

Kalk sludge in a syringe will work. Some folks like to make kalk balls and have the aipstasia swallow it but make sure you turn off the pumps as the current can scatter the kalk and damage coral. For this reason I used a syringe with a heavy gauge needle
