| Do you have high phosphates, overfeeding, lighting? All these factors can contribute to algae growth. Reduce them all and your algae should disappear. Try moving a powerhead to create a gentle flow for the coral.

| Also to add, if you can, try to take the algae off by hand until you figure out what is causing the algae to grow But be careful not to damage the polyps that are on the gorgonian.

| Id double check the water flow around the gorg. If its strong enough the algae shouldnt have a chance to grow. Also double check phosphates etc. What ype of gorg do you have and how long have you had it, and has its polpys always/usually been extended? Some are non-photo and may not need so much light. Is the algae a problem throughout the rest of your tank? |
