Default sick torch coral

I have had this torch coral for a couple years and has always done well. But last month one of the heads retracted and disapeared into the skeleton never to return. Now right now another head is doing the same thing is there anything I can do to stop this. There is no jelly on it. The tenticles are contracted all the way to the bone. What can I do?

Hello Tim, welcome to the reef and thank you for posting. What are your parameters for the water? E.g. Salinity, pH, Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, Strontium, Calcium, Phosphorus etc.?

other trace elements I don't test for but add every other week.

It made a full recover today but still would like to know why. The one head retracted.

I see, well then obviously we know its not the parameters. How about any incompatibility issues with the Torch and others in the tank? Your Nitrates aren't too high, so I would think it would be Zooanx (forgot how to spell the whole thing lol.)

The torch has been in the same spot for over a year. Nothing can come close to it. The head made a full recovery, which is nice. It was just strange that 13 heads were inflated like normal and one was doing poorly. I was worried because I have seen this before where the tenticles just dissapeared and never came back. I do appreciate your help.

I see, well hopefully someone has had the same problem or knows how to solve this situation. Glad to hear it is doing better though, at least that is something reassuring.
