these snails I bought are attacking my brittle sea star and its almost dead. Ive notice a couple of crabs dead also. Should I get them out of there or try to feed them more food?

Are you sure it is the snails doing the damage? What other fish /inverts do you have in your tank? My Yellow Coris Wrasse will suck the crabs out of their shell, and to my surprise, both my Percula's will aid in eating the body (but never the legs.)

The Matrix/Emerald Crab could be your advocate. If you plan on keeping corals in your tank, do so with caution as these crabs are not reef recommended. Its a 50/50 shot though, some are fine, and others chomp away at many corals and other inverts such as your starfish. The Scarlet Hermits are docile and reef compatible so I would not point the finger at them to blame, they are okay. Is your starfish still alive?
