Default My shrimp was dead

When I came home from work tonite my skunk cleaner shrimp was dead Looked like he was molting, his shell was half off and he was lying on the sand dead
Checked my parameters Friday, and all were fine, what do you think happened?? Deb

Deb,

The molting process is very stressful for the shrimp, sometimes they just die in the process, or something else could have botherd it in the middle of its molt.

They require proper amounts of iodine (which should be fine, if your doing water changes at least bi-weekly)

Well its never nice to see one of your tank friends die, plus it hurts my wallet if something dies...

Then I feel like I have to replace it

(knocks on wood hard) I havent had any deaths in a while!!!
