Default my peppermint shrimp

i recently bought 3 peppermint shrimp for my new tank to eat the anemonies that are bad...when i was getting ready for bed i noticed about a 1000 little shrimp floting in the tank....i shut off the bubbles and air pumps because it was blowing them around and it looked like snow....i need to know what to do if i should move them into a different tank because the other shrimp will eat them.... i have no fish in the tank yet so i dont have to worry about that...what should i feed them...i heard they are hard to keep alive but ill take my chances...someone please help asap so i know what to do before they start to die

I'm not sure how to raise them, but I know others who have been successful. The good news is that you will have many more opportunities - my peppermint shrimp release larvae about every month (about the time they molt, and that is also when they mate). My fish and coral are in a frenzy whenever this happens.

I'm thinking that they would be fine if treated like brine shrimp, enriched, etc. I'd try a google search to see what you can find out though.

Hey, if you can keep them alive, maybe your local LFS will take them off your hands.

Good Luck

I tried the peppermint for a small case of aiptsia and they never took. Went through three of them. I made sure they were not the pacific version. Hit or miss. You might want to try Joe's Juice or Aiptsia Control by Blue Vet.
