| You probably do not need to use iodine, even if it didn't cause the reaction. Even the most reef safe meds/additives for your tank can cause problems for our 5 legged loved ones. Did you, or your loved one, add anything else to the tank...even a couple of days before the crap hit the fan? |

| There are many things that could be hurting your inverts like your fish, critters, or other things within your water column. Iodine can do a lot of harm if overdosed. I wouldn't dose Iodine without testing it with a good (salifert) test kit to know exactly what your levels are. About the only coral that I have seen that Iodine really benefits for long term success is Xenia. Inverts need some iodine for molting, but there should be enough iodine provided by your water changes for molting. |

| We did'nt add anything else. I agree with everyone because our tank was doing great without the supplements. I'm going to hide the iodine from him. LOL Thanks everyone. Melisia |
