Default Molting Shrimp

I have 1 peppermint shrimp left out of 3. Is there any rhyme or reason to their molting schedule. I literally watched my tomato clown try to kill my last peppermint shrimp right after he had molted. It's as if the clown senses when he molted. If I hadn't tapped the class and startled the fish, the shrimp would be dead. My clown's 3rd kill. Is there any kind of schedule, or anything I can due to prevent this from happening in the future.

There is no set schedule - mostly depends on their growth. Also they will molt if stressed.

Sorry to hear about your shrimp!!! I lost several shrimp after a molt to a Falco's Hawkfish who liked shrimp for dinner. Needless to say the LFS took Mr. Falco back in trade for credit. My cleaner shrimp molt about every 30 to 45 days, usually after a water change.
