| i am sorry too, i should rephrase what i said.... gently move it from its location if it is bothering you, and if it just returns back...leave it. mine isnt under the live rock but it is wedged in pretty good. my maroon clown loves that thing..makes me want to squeeze my big ass into my 29gallon and sit in that anenome too. ![]()

I know how frustrating anemones can be by moving just where you CAN'T see them. Mine hid behind my LR for weeks and you couldn't see it or my clowns. By adjusting the waterflow, I gradually, it gradually moved to the front - where it is now.

Most of the time, the anemone is moving to find better current locations for filter feeding. Lighting also effects the move to a smaller degree. I noticed that on my old 120 gallon, when I moved my power heads that were internal to another location.

Is it normal for an anenome to shrivel up everynow and then and look like it is dead? For example looks great for a day then the next morning it is shriveled up and dead looking and the next day it is great again....Help!

Yes. Anemones will contract at night to some degree. They also contract to expel the contents of their gastric tract. They are essentially a "bag of jelly" with only one opening. In order to get rid of undigested food, they contract down and "spit" out a mucus mass. They do this on a regular basis. However, if they stay deflated and shrunken for over 24 hours, then check your water parameters. It's often a sign that something is wrong in your water chemistry. Anemones are very sensitive creatures.
