Default Re: blue ringed octopus

My final thoughts gentle readers:

There is no antidote/antivenin for the bite of a Blue Ringed Octopus.

1 milligram of the venom will kill the average human.

The venom acts extremely rapidly, causing paralysis.

Hopefully, when you're bitten, someone will be around to call 911 and start CPR.

On very, very rare occasions, a very, very few have survived after spending time on artificial respirators and other medical supprort machinery. (Hope your medical insurance covers it. If not, make sure your life insurance is paid up and covers this kind of accident -- some insurances do have clauses which exclude these kinds of incidents.)
