Default My Skunk Cleaner Shrimp has eggs!

Hello, I just noticed that my cleaner shrimp has a tone of green eggs inder it's tail. I did some reading about this and i found out that it will be 15 - 20 days untill they hatch. They will turn silver the day they will hatch i guess. Should I put the shrimp in one of those hatcher enclosers that's suspended in the main tank, when the eggs turn silver of course?

Anyway, Has anybody had shrimp babies? How many did they have? How many surived? and what the hell did you do with them all?

Thanks
Jason

IMO i would get a seperate 10g tank and put him in there with a small;...SMALL filter and some LR and LS(form the main tank of course) and READ AND RESEARCH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!

Thanks, I may do that. It would be easier to get the hang on mesh breeder enclosure i would think. I had one on my last tank when my mollies had babies. She had like 30 of them and 20 or so survived. I took the "teenage" mollies to the pet store and traded them for some store credit...i think i got like $5 for them. I hope i can raise most of the baby shrimp. I would like to keep 3 or 4 and trade the rest to the fish store for some credit. I may have one of the coolest fish stores ever. The owner Jim, will buy back cycle fish and keep any kind of coral or fish if they are sick. He'll special order anything with no $ down.

Anyway, i'll put some pics up of the eggs.

well, when the larva come out, they may slip thru the net. i would be a little skepticle to do that. /i have also heard that it is VERY hard to raise the larva due to their small nature.

yeah, they are gone. I don't know if the shrimp had them or not but they are no where to be found. I didn't notice them in the tank and the shrimp's tail is back to normal too bad, I like the Skunk Cleaners.
