Default My Shrimp is dead

today i bought i camel shrimp, one blenny, and one crab. everyone is doing fine except that my shrimp died. all my level are fine. my temp is kind of cool at 78, but i just dont know? any help?

You sure it's dead & didn't molt? The stress of going to a new tank may have caused it to molt. Your temperature is fine.

what is molt and how can u tell? also i have two damsels. could that have killed him?

Crabs & shrimp shed their outer skin similar to the way a snake does as they grow. Stress is a leading factor also to them molting. The molted skin will look hollow. It's possible the damsels attacked it.

if it didint molt, i would blame the damsels, my damsel loves the taste of shrimp.

I thought my crab died once and then his ghost showed up 3 days later. Shrimp are vulnerable when they molt and sometimes die. Let us know if he shows back up

easiest are chromis fish.

If damsels can really go for shrimp then my damsel has a LOT of explaining to do... 3 shrimp down to 2.
