 hermit crabs do they breed in captivity?  |

| I found this via live search...Not sure if anyone has had any other experience with this... Hermit crabs return to the sea to deposit their eggs. Due to this they cannot be breed in captivity. Chex |

| Thanks, do you know if when they molt the skin has color or if it is clear , I think I might have a murderer in the tank |

| the hermits your refering to are land hermits that "return to the sea" I think here we are talking about aquatic species of hermits blue or redlegged for example they are already in the sea so to speak. anyways I've never heard of them reproducing in an aquarium( maybe a really large one with a great amount of little shells? and there molt does indeed have color and look like a dead crab. |
