Default Seahorse?

My girlfriend is insisting that i get seahorses but there is no darn way that i am setting up an individual seahorse tank, just not my thing. So i started to think, the fuge in the sump is low flow and i think you can keep stuff in them so that is where my question starts. Would it be possible to keep a horse or 2 in the fuge?

In one of these web sites you will find some info on a few types of seahorse grown in captivity that have been trained to eat frozen shrimp(mysis and brine). They do require some special care.research carefully.

It wont be for about a year if it happens. I was just wondering if it was possible to keep a few in a clean fuge just for show, or if that would never work.

Id say you probably could keep a dwarf variety, they would enjoy the low flow, high food content of a refugium. Your refugium wouldnt be producing as many 'pods for the main tank as it would without a predator in it though.

That is the only problem that i was seeing too. I am sure that i could get a HOB fuge aswell though and it would all equal out.

The plan I gave some thought to was to have a 3 tank system. The second tank would be a heavily planted 40 gallon breeder(sea grass) the third tank would be an algea fuge under a 65 gallon main. From what I have read this system could be skimmerless,in fact I may have to add nitrates and phosphates to keep the grass and algea alive.
