| Ok, this may be a dumb question or may be something common. ![]() So, As most of you know that have been reading my posts, I had two feathers that have gone to a better place. And one large Coco feather that is doing amazing!! Well, I was closely looking at my coco today, specifically his tube. The top 1/4 inch he has added on since being in my tank, so that's a good sign he's doing ok. But also, I was looking where the tube is leaning against the live rock...and there is a big cluster of white stuff, appearing to be coming OUT of the tube, as if there was a hole there. Now I can not get a good look, it's against the rock, so I can't see in there... BUT!! Here's the main part of this book I wrote above.. Haha, There seems to be a "baby" feather!!!! From what I understood, they reproduced by splitting themselves. But, this very clearly appears to be a feather. But, it is coming off of the tube of my Coco worm..and appears to be a normal..say.. hawaiin feather. I will try and take pics, my battery is dead, but let me know what you all think!!!

| Ok, I found a pic... This feather head, looks JUST like what is coming out of the crevice of my rock and worm tube. I guess it could be irony..that it is coming out of the rock right next to my feather? Or could be spawning.. Hmmm. Advice? Here's the link-- http://www.skyshed.btinternet.co.uk/babyfeather.JPG

| Well guess what everyone!!! It is confirmed, a baby feather!!! Yayyyyy. It is about half way down the tube of my Coco, with it's tube wrapped halfway around my big feather, with the rock helping to support it! Wow excited, haha. Seems that my rock was kind of..."crappy" and didn't have really ANY surprises out of it... this baby feather is very exciting for me.. he's very cute too! He's to small to even get a clear pic of him.. But still, it's love at first sight ![]() ![]()

| OMG!!!! No way!! hahahahahahahahhaha, coco junior!! wow Im really happy for you! take care if him, hes your new kid. though im still confused were it came from? coco or the rock? I hope there is another worm around, so then you would have 3 worms again! the best part is, you get to watch them grow! what does jeremy think since he asked you about breeding fish? lol |
| ||||
| There are two new ones!! Two babies yay!!!! One is very very very tiny.. so tiny I didn't even see him the hour or two I sat and watched the new baby I noticed!! Jeremy loves it!! I agree Cocos are gorgeous, mine is growing soo big, I need an updated pic And where the 2 new feathers came from...I am way confused myself. The Coco never came out of his tube...and it doesn't appear to be out of the rock. Then again, it could be out of the rock, and found a comfy spot attached around the Coco... So it's a never knowing deal!

| So far. But to some they wouldn't be 'thaaaaaat big'. I have this one that I am especially fond of- he's my favorite to watch. If I can get a better camera to take a pic I will post. He was first noticed the size of .... like the end of a small push pin. He has since grown to open to the size of my thumb nail. He is several colrs. Alternating rings of black (center) then cream, then white, gray, then pink, then white then purple rimmed. I have NO IDEA what type he is- but he is nice. And so far my little guys are doing well. I put in 1-2 cubes of frozen food in a plastic scoop. I add a pinch of flake food, 3-4 caps marine snow, a pinch of granules, and a turkey baster full of tank water to defrost. I let it sit until all mixed well. Then I release it in the tank. I get the fish, the inverts on the bottom, and everything in between-including the filter feeders. My yellow polyp eats the flake food pieces and the baby brine (frozen). I've noticed the feather will close up on a tiny piece of seaweed (purple kind) as well. So- I hope to keep this up- slightly increasing with more tankmates of course. Carry on and enjoy!
