Well from what I understand you need to have a VERY sturdy rock setup, they move them around quite a bit! You need to have a large (depending on how big he is) cave for him to hide in. They are mostly nocturnal (spelling?). But some people say that theirs come out during the day. I am definately getting on when my 220 is ready. From what I know.. just keep one per tank. I would love to hear from others that have a lobster also...

They get to over 1 foot. Which I think would be awesome! Once comfortable in the tank, it sounds like they come out a lot more. Or pretty much as soon as the lights go off. In the mornings I have heard that you can see their tracks in the sand, kind of neat. Also--they will eat meaty foods, I have never heard of anyone 'spot' feeding them, just taking left overs basically---from what I understand. Also--they are known for eating bottom dwellers. Anyone else with any insight?

I love them!! I love the purple lobster too...that's probably what I will be getting!
