| My hermits (red, blue, black/white legged) are eating my Coco worms tube like CRAZY! Are they not getting enough to eat? What's the deal. I had one do this a couple of weeks ago (my fave hermit by the way) a large well.. the size of a quarter black/white legged my lfs would not take him back, so I had to flush him, about every 10 minutes I have to get these little jerks off of his tube. They have ruined about 25% of the growth that he has made on his tube... What do I do? Do I flush the ones that are being mean? Let nature take it's course? I feel bad for Coco, he just wants to grow!! ![]()

| In the past, when I would feed my fish, the hermits would get excited to grab the little that fell to them... now, they don't even care, they go RIGHT to Coco. Help please!

| The hermits are still destine to make my Coco upset! I ended up taking the one larger one that I seemed to be nudging off of coco probably 10 times a day. I took him to my lfs and told them to just take him, that I didn't want to flush him. So they took him back, and for about a whole day they all left him alone. And now, one is back at it. They are eating the newest part of his tube, the top white part. Poor thing. all that work! There are little white chunks all over on the sand below Coco, like they are not even eating it, like they are just tearing it apart out of boredom. But coco is repairing is slowly, slower than they are breaking it. What do I do? Do I just give up on having hermits? and stick with snails? Will I see a major difference in my tank cleanliness wise?

| Elliott-- Do what now? I am not sure what question you were answering that you would do? Just forget about having hermits?

| right, hermits tend to get a little iffy around certin inverts and fish. I would jet get rid of them or trade them in for a few sanils. I have a bunch of hermits not in my tank, but my arrow crabs has them for a snack sometimes.
