Default Bubble tip anemone

I want to get one, but my friends got a bubble tip and it continues to split, is this a sign of stress or something? It never grows, just splits when it is small. It is getting him annoyed, and I am worried if I get one it'll do that same.

splitting is the way they make babies, except its an exact replica of itself. And as far as i know, splitting doesn't mean its under stress or anything like that, i dont know what makes them decide to split though. A local guy has a Rose bta thats about 2 feet in diameter and has never split.

Thing is they are about a quarter inch in diameter and never grow, when they do grow, they split again.

O btw, I plan on buying one, his is white, I want a nice green one.

Are you sure it is a BTA and not majano's? They stay small and are a pest anemone. They look a lot like a small BTA, but will quickly suck back into a hole if disturbed.

True BTA can split under stress or once they get large. Spot feeding them heavily will usually cause them to split quicker as well.

Spot feeding is when you manually feed a coral food such as krill or liquid foods directly in front of a coral via a syringe/turkey baster or hand feed the coral a silverside.
