| splitting is the way they make babies, except its an exact replica of itself. And as far as i know, splitting doesn't mean its under stress or anything like that, i dont know what makes them decide to split though. A local guy has a Rose bta thats about 2 feet in diameter and has never split. |

| Thing is they are about a quarter inch in diameter and never grow, when they do grow, they split again. O btw, I plan on buying one, his is white, I want a nice green one. |

| Are you sure it is a BTA and not majano's? They stay small and are a pest anemone. They look a lot like a small BTA, but will quickly suck back into a hole if disturbed. True BTA can split under stress or once they get large. Spot feeding them heavily will usually cause them to split quicker as well.

| Spot feeding is when you manually feed a coral food such as krill or liquid foods directly in front of a coral via a syringe/turkey baster or hand feed the coral a silverside.
