Default Peppermint shrimp attacking frogspawn

has anyone had their peppermint shrimp tear off pieces of their frogspawn and eat it?! my poor frogspawn was in the tank for 3 seconds and the shrimp was tearing off pieces and shoving them into his fat little mouth.

Hmmm, interesting, I would try target feeding the shrimp once a day or everyother day with food he likes, just to see if maybe he's not getting enough to eat. Mine will only eat the aptasia when I don't target feed them... wow, never heard of shrimp eating stinging corals! I'm interested to hear what others have to say as well...

Huh, well, what about moving the frogspawn to a fish's territory that will defend that territory? Or better yet, how about adding a clown to your tank, I hear they host frogspawns and they'd defend the coral for sure! That's probably what I'd do there, research or ask here in a thread which clowns are known to host frogspawns and go get you one.

Sounds to me like you have had a mix up of identity. You could possibly have a camelback shrimp which eat coral. Any possibility you could get a pic?

I have to agree with that conclusion. My peps don't even look at my frogspawn, but I have heard of camels doing things like this.

I don't think they meant anything by that, it does happen because they do look awfully similar...

How many pep. shrimp do you have? If this doesn't resolve, I'd take the shrimp back and trade him for another, maybe you got a fluky one?..

Sorry if you took that the wrong way angela. I ment nothing by it. It is fairly common for LFS to mix up and sell camelbacks as peps. I was just making sure
