Default Horseshoe damage / pics

I woke up this morning and Horseshoe was in bad shape. missing tail and edges of shell eaten up. whose to blame? I saw the angel pickin at him all morning but i wouldn't think he has the jaws to do this damage. I suspect DOGFACE. which is weird cause he pays no mind to anything but my fingers and his silversides.

Should I leave him in for angel and/or puffer to eat? Is that cruel?

He will pollute your water. Take him out.
