Some people like Glass Cages and other have had problems. Due to shipping costs, I find it easiest (and cheapest) to find a LFS that will give you a good deal.

I would be interested to here some first hand accounts of problems with GlassCages.com. I am in Arkansas, and they are in Tennesse, so I was considering purchasing 240 gallon tank from them after the first of the year. I'm going to tag along on this thread as I am also looking for a reputable place to buy a large tank.

Here are some:

Discussion Forum

Rimless 75 gallon - close loop filter - Page 2 - General Aquarium Plants Discussions - Aquatic Plant Central

glasscages - 3reef Forums

There are more...

I bought a 40G rimless frag tank from them. It looks like crap, with silicone clumped on the bottom, rough edges, overflow cover not secured to the overflow...the only good thing about it? It will be used in a back room, not as a display, and it was cheap.

JMHO.

i bought a 195 from glass cages. my silicone was a little messy too. it holds water though, and was about 500 cheaper than the next guy.

hundreds of reef keepers have been to my house since i got this tank and not one of them mentioned the silicone, and i bet not one noticed it either.
